Thank you Kleenex for sponsoring this post #KleenexStyle.
Inspired by the newness of Spring as well as Kleenex Style, the girls and I spruced up this corner of their playroom to create a colorful and organized entryway for them. This should definitely make mornings easier, and more fun and stimulating as well (for all three of us!).
Our entryway is very narrow (which you can see to the left in the picture below), so we’ve never been able to fit all of the girls’ backpacks, jackets, and everything else they need to get ready for school. So we took this corner of the playroom right next to the front door to create an organized and fun entryway just for them.
Our favorite element has to be the wall art, which we made with some inexpensive cork trivets.
Inspired by the different patterns and colors of our Kleenex Decorative Tissue boxes…
…we spent the weekend painting different patterns and colors on the trivets.
The girls were so excited to contribute their art to their entryway. They also loved using Mama’s craft supplies (namely, acrylic paint, stencils, paint rollers, pouncer brushes, and regular paint brushes).
We hung the trivets with 3M strips over their new coat rack, which Dada made from a piece of wood we found in our garage.
We also hung some cute dollhouse-shaped cubbies on the wall, to “house” their little necessities. To the right, we have hats and sunglasses for walking to school (it will be super sunny before we know it!).
And to the left, we have sunscreen, extra packs of Kleenex, and their hair accessories.
Below the cubbies, we hung their magnetic calendar so they can keep track of their oh-so-busy first grade lives, plus the clipboards they use for keeping their homework together, that we gave a fresh new look with paint and stencils. And of course, we have a handy box of Kleenex for last-minute wiping away of milk moustaches in the morning.
We are looking forward to a fun, colorful, and more organized Spring.

Of all things, no one expects a product like Kleenex, which started out as a makeup remover wipe, to be a style influencer. But at the same time, it’s not surprising at all that Kleenex has appeared in the Museum of Modern Art twice. It has been fun learning about Kleenex’ colorful and ground-breaking past. You too can take the style quiz and read fun facts about the history of Kleenex.
And watch this video for more Kleenex Style inspiration.
Thank you Kleenex for sponsoring this post and keeping my home stylish and practical!
