Works In Progress

I always have a lot of projects going on at the same time! Here’s what I’ve got this week.

Repurpose a Vintage Train Case to…??? I will keep this a surprise as to what I will (hopefully) be making this into. Hint: it’s wedding-related!

Repurpose a Train Case

Still prepping for my Sew It All TV Casting Call Audition! I need to cut and sew up all the steps of the Clock Pillow, kind of like in a cooking show where you prep everything and tadaaaa you have a completed dish coming out of the oven.

And finally, my two little school chairs for my girls that I found at the thrift store two years ago. One finally got a pretty coat of CeCe Caldwell Chalk Paint in New Orleans Purple with Pinkerington Violet underneath at the class I took at Paris Flea Market this past weekend. I still have to sand it down a little bit more, and add a satin topcoat. Then for the other one, I’ll mix Traverse City Cherry (red) with Simply White to create a pink color on top, with Portland Rose underneath. It may have to wait til after my audition though, but I can’t wait to work on them again!

Oh wait one more thing…a St Patrick’s Day printable! Just need to take some pretty pics of these all printed out, and these should be available for you to download for free this week/early next week.

So Lucky To Love You

And there’s a little Kindle Fire Giveaway going on! Don’t forget to enter and share once a day for more entries, plus check out my lovely co-hosts’ blogs as well!

So that’s what’s going on with me. What are you making this week?

Thanks for hanging out with me today!

  1. Congratulations on getting an audition. I love the clock face and these little chairs. How do you like the CeCe Caldwell Chalk paint? I haven't read many reviews on it yet.

    1. This was my first time using chalk paint and I really loved it. What I loved the most is that you don't have to prep your surface (so no priming or sanding is needed). The colors are pretty, though limited (but you can mix to get the colors you want). Just do a search on Pinterest for CeCe Caldwell and some reviews will pop up. Hope this helps!
