Wire Wrapped Jewelry Basics

I’ve mentioned that I used to have a bridal jewelry business, which started after my wedding and ended when I found out I was pregnant with my girls. It was a fun but very busy two years as I also juggled a full-time job. Since then, I’ve made a few pieces for friends and family and have had some inquiries for custom pieces as well, which I entertain when I can. Most of my pieces were wire-wrapped, where I used wire to make chains of beads looped together. There are lots of tutorials in both picture and video form out there to which I’ve referred you in my past jewelry tutorials, but this week I’m working on an order so I thought why not show you how I do it too (and stop feeling like I’m mooching off others!). Here’s how I make wire wrapped jewelry.

DIY Upholstered Footstool

My mom has a little spot in her home where she loves to knit but has been wanting to make this spot a bit more comfortable. I had a chair and footstool in my garage which I thought would go well together but needed some sprucing up. So I painted the chair and added a cushion, and today I just finished reupholstering the footstool. Here’s how I did it.
