Presser Foot Organizer with TAP Labels

My presser feet are running around all over the place! I needed a place to corral them. I used a similar process to my DIY Ruler Organizer tutorial to make a much smaller presser foot organizer. But this time I’m using Transfer Artist Paper (TAP), a product by C&T Publishing, to add labels for each foot. You can hang your presser foot organizer alone on the wall, or if you have a wood organizer, tray, or crate, you can sew it to those dimensions and fit it in, as I did.

Vintage Easter Banner

Last year, I found two dozen vintage Easter-themed gift boxes. I gave some out but I still have some left over. So this year, I took one of them and cut it up to highlight the cute vintage Easter bunny graphics on it to make a vintage Easter banner. I also added my own Easter egg in the center, which is provided below as a free printable. Here’s how I made my banner…it was super easy and quick!

Drawstring Ruched Hem to Shorten Yoga Pants

I am excited to be starting ballet classes this week! I think it has been 15 years since my last class. Thank goodness I don’t have to wear a leotard and tights at my age, though my mom did save my leotards from the 80s. I can’t believe how high-cut they were! Oh darn, I don’t have any pictures from back then. Anyways, let’s fast forward to present day. I was also excited to go buy some new ballet shoes as well as some yoga leggings to wear to class. Being a shorty, I of course had to hem them. But instead of the usual cutting them off, then folding them, then sewing them, I thought I’d try something fancier: adding a drawstring to shorten them. What resulted was some fun ruching at the ankes, plus a little bow. Here’s how I added drawstring to ruche and shorten my yoga pants.
